What is filet mignon, what are the most delicious filet mignon recipes and what is the filet mignon nutritional information…

The filet mignon is the French for daintily/ delicately fillet, being a part of the tender loin. This tasty meat is to be found precisely near the spine of the animal, being a narrow piece of meat. Due to the fact that it is so delicious and tender, the filet mignon is the most expensive meat that one can buy. The filet mignon is also known as tenderloin, chateaubriand, fillet de boeuf, tournedos, medallions or fillet steak, it all depends on what nationality cuisine it is referred to.

There are numerous filet mignon recipes, but we’ll focus on one, which is very tasty and commonly sought after: the filet mignon on grill. The ingredients that you will need for the filet mignon on grill are as follows: half an onion, four garlic cloves, 100 ml of extra virgin olive oil, 50 ml of wine (red or rose), tomato sauce or Worcestershire sauce - 100 ml, and spices – salt, pepper or whatever you prefer (of course don’t forget the filet mignon). Chop the onion and mince the garlic and add the olive oil, the wine, the tomato sauce and the spices in a bowl. Mix all these ingredients and then add the filet mignon. Place this bowl in the fridge for 20-30 minutes before going any further with your filet mignon recipes. Meanwhile, heat the grill, and then place the filet mignon on grill. Keep it on grill until the onions will get cooked and the filet mignon gets a dark brown color. Serve the filet mignon on grill with red wine and potato dish and vegetables on the side.

Other filet mignon recipes will include cooking or smothering, and will be also very delicious, however, the filet mignon on grill is probably the best recipe one can wish for.

When it comes to filet mignon nutritional information, you won’t have to worry too much: it has only 160 calories per 100 grams, and only 6 grams of fat, from which only 2,5 are saturated fats. There are no carbs in the filet mignon, and all the filet mignon recipes are diet friendly, having an about 25% protein content.

What is left for you is to enjoy the tender, mouth melting savory filet mignon steak, which is the best meat one can imagine.
