The Neverland ranch was built on a 2,500 acres space in California, and it may be considered among the points of attraction of California, being the pride of the pop star Michael Jackson. This month however, the ranch was almost put on auction, Michael lacking the funds to gain it back. Luckily for him, he succeeded to keep his Neverland.
Neveralnd is a project that belongs entirely to Michael, or the child inside Michael Jackson. He has planned 2,500 acres with loads of games, toys and spaces to play. Michael Jackson used to bring kids to the Neverland ranch in California, and the kids used to play here, while Michel was enjoying the time spent playing and watching other kids play and enjoy his ranch. Michael Jackson said that as a kid he was deprived of certain things such as playing and toys, and now he is trying to compensate for the lost time in any way possible, be it in a huge playing space such as his own Neverland ranch. Jackson, who has had numerous plastic surgeries performed on his face, has also stated that deep inside he is still a child and that he loves children and their innocence. And some might think of this in the wrong way.
Having played too much like kids and with kids, Michael Jackson was accused of child molestation back in 2005, and ever since his faith and that of the Neverland ranch was uncertain. Michael Jackson’s career was also declining (partly influenced by the gossip about Michael’s molesting children) and the pop star started to have money issues.
In the end, the accusations of child molestation were not proven, so Michael is free to play in Neverland. Nevertheless, Michael Jackson was threatened to lose his ranch if he did not come up with $24 million and the date of auction was settled for the end of March. Some fans even offered to buy off the Neverland ranch to save Michael and help him in this financial bottleneck. Finally, the pop star has managed to get a hold of some money and saved his dearly loved Neverland, just a few days before the auction day. So, Michael was that close to loosing the Neverland ranch, which aside of being among his favorite properties, is a part of his personality. Michael Jackson hopes that Neverland will never belong to others, willing to keep if for himself.
