Director Wai-keung Lau means to show the ugliness and the inappropriateness of the behavior of sex offenders, and Richard Gere plays his role very well. Actually, Erol, who is supposed to be on the law’s side, appears extremely violent, having accumulating a lot of rage during his work years and having dealt with a lot of cases involving sex offenders. Actually, it is a great role for a mature Richard Gere, who has grown past his romantic roles ion the movies.
